Mission: Sanctuary for unprotected cats. No-kill: we euthanize no cat unless the cat is suffering and there is no reasonable hope of improvement. Adoption: we believe that the best outcome for each cat is to be adopted

into a loving home.

Long-term Shelter: we provide a place where a cat can live comfortably for a long period of time, by adhering to the following principles:

Cagelessness: no cat will be kept in a cage Each cat will be provided with a high quality of life, including:

Food and water Clean and sanitary housing

What to bring with you when adopting from a shelter

Your chances of finding a wonderful companion who matches your lifestyle, family, and home are excellent! But if you're looking for a truly one-of-a-kind pet unlike anyone else's, animal shelters offer the best selection anywhere of smart, healthy, lovable cats.

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

The adoption fee of 2000 dinars  includes spay or neuter surgery.

In addition, shelters offer free advice and guidance on cat ownership.

You save a life and help combat overpopulation

The simple fact is that there are many more animals needing adoption than there are homes for. So when you adopt from a shelter, you become part of the solution to the overpopulation crisis. You give a deserving animal a new home. You free up  space for another animal needing to be adopted. And your money goes toward the shelter's education and spay/neuter programs, which help prevent more unwanted animals from being born.

Compatibility

Like humans, animals have unique personalities, backgrounds, temperaments and needs. Not every animal is appropriate for every home.

A shelter is responsible for helping potential adopters assess the compatibility of a companion animal, increases the likelihood that you will leave a shelter with an animal that is right for you!

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU WHEN ADOPTING FROM A SHELTER

The following items are usually required when adopting an animal from a shelter:

• Proper identification

• 2000 dinars

Objectives

To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens and, when and where possible, to rehome them to selected homes

To encourage the neutering of all cats

To disseminate information and educational resources to promote the cat welfare message

‘Zenka’ Cats sanctuary has a strict non-euthanasia policy. No healthy cat in the organisation’s care is ever put to sleep. Cats and kittens are looked after until loving new homes are found
